Make a Miracle Happen – Foodbank Lifeline Campaign

JCI Malta’s Wignacourt Chapter is collaborating with the Foodbank Lifeline Foundation to raise funds and food items for this essential service, which provides meals to those in need.

During the peak of Covid-19, the Foodbank Lifeline Foundation was supporting over 600 families a week. There was a dip after some measures were eased as numbers reduced, however, the referrals to the foodbank are on the increase, with the Foodbank currently supporting over 250 families a week (at the moment of writing). That’s over1000 families a month!

Referrals for the Foodbank are done by professionals, including social workers, which ensures that the individuals making use of the Foodbank’s service are also being supported by others who will, in turn, help these individuals and families to rise out of poverty.

We want to ensure that the Foodbank is supported throughout the year, and not just during the Christmas or holiday period. For this purpose, we teamed up withZaar to set up an online crowdfunding platform where donations could be collected. Your donations will go directly to the Foodbank, ensuring that they are supported throughout 2021… and beyond.
