Mel McElhatton announced their resignation from the role of JCI Malta National President, as of Monday, 6th March 2023, due to personal reasons. As per the JCI Constitution, current Deputy National President, Florence Vermeiren, will be taking on the role of Acting National President effective immediately until the end of the year. Melanie McElhatton, JCI Malta Secretary General, also submitted her resignation from her role on the board. In the interim, Nicole Borg was appointed as Acting Secretary General during an Extraordinary Board Meeting. Ms Borg resigned from her 2023 elected role as JCI de Rohan National President, to dedicate her time to her new role. JCI de Rohan will be temporarily dormant; however, any initiatives organised by this local organisation are being handled by the other local organisations – JCI Wignacourt and JCI La Valette.

Anyone interested in forming part of JCI Malta is invited to apply here (choosing from either JCI Wignacourt or JCI La Valette).
