Underwater Alien Species: The Human Impact

Let’s be true to ourselves - we do take nature and marine life for granted.

With our daily activities over the last few decades, have pushed our seas to their limits.

Mediterranean water habitats are increasingly being threatened by an invasive alien fresh water species. Our daily careless human actions are playing a huge impact on the Maltese water habitat caused by anthropogenic pollution, aquaculture and climate change impact.

Join us on the 26th January as we discuss the human impact on alien species with Jackie Barbara, a Marine Biologist. This will be followed by an open-floor Q&A and an opportunity to network with other members.

The event is free for JCI Malta members, while a fee of €5 applies for non-JCI Malta members which includes a drink (beer, wine or a soft drink).

We look forward to see you there!
