Secretary General - Executive Team 2018

JCI is looking for a young active citizen to join the new executive board as Secretary General for the 2018 term.

The role of the Secretary General is a key element in ensuring the success of the rest of the volunteers during 2018. The executive team will be trying out new meeting methodologies based upon the Entrepreneur Operating System (also known as EOS). Thus the person undertaking this role will be seeing first hand how successful businesses and startups around the world are operated.

The Secretary General shall:

  1. Be the administrative officer of JCI Malta responsible directly to the President;
  2. Give notice of all General Meetings of whatever nature;
  3. Be responsible for taking minutes of General Meetings and Board of Directors, Meetings and for keeping a permanent record of such minutes, which shall be open to inspection by members at all reasonable times;
  4. Maintain and ensure that the scoresheet is updated prior to every meeting; and
  5. Maintain and monitor the todo list and actionable items to ensure nothing falls off track.

The individual chosen for the role, will be expected to further develop and improve him/herself over the duration of the appointment. By statute the executive is to meet twice a month, meetings usually happen after working hours given that most of the executive team hold full-time roles elsewhere.
