Has the glass ceiling been broken or is it just cracked?

Every year, on the 8th of March, International Women’s Day celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.

To mark the occasion, on the 13th March, JCI Malta brought together a panel of inspiring speakers for an online Business Breakfast, Women Leaders – Stepping into power and paving the way to C-level, which tackled the topic of women in leadership positions.

The session was dedicated to and run by women leaders featuring Juanita Brockdorff (KPMG), Liana Cremona (Recruitgiant), Anita Mirasole (FJVA), Stephania Dimech Sant (Richmond Foundation), and Sarah Woods (SHE: Social Hub Entrepreneurs). The event was moderated by Fran Moisa, VP Partnerships & Training of JCI Malta.

The panel of accomplished women discussed how they did it, spoke about their personal experiences of maintaining a work-life balance, their thoughts on the gender quota directive and gave their advice to participants about how to achieve a leadership position.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the business breakfast was held online via Zoom; however, this didn’t detract from attendees participating and engaging with the panellists. All participants received a yummy gift of a JCI-branded cupcake and biscuits delivered directly to their homes before the event.
